When is gypsy blood on again

Violet is sort of the silent but deadly kind. She is powerful with the magic in her blood and she uses it in unconventional ways. I love that she able to take people by surprise in this book and actually fucking defend herself instead of relying on the menfolk to get her out of sticky situations. This is definitely a promising start to the series.

I don't want to get too much into the plot because there is so much that could be spoiled, even by just describing what the hell is going on. There are twists and turns and manly men that like to walk around nekkid. Which Anna is completely okay with. As I would be too. Dec 25, Allons-y rated it it was amazing Shelves: all-the-stars , my-favorites. The Dark Side is one of my favorite series.

This one is already topping it though. The world building had me scrambling a tad in the beginning and I sort of had a hell of a time separating the new characters initially. Damian, Emit, Vance and Arion are all separate individuals. I enjoyed their personalities immensely. They are all cursed. They are also sort of bad dudes. I am fairly positive that everyone in this book is cursed a bit. They all apparently deser The Dark Side is one of my favorite series.

They all apparently deserve it too. Poor Damian has it the worst in my opinion. The curses are not that predictable either so that is fun. I am not sure is fun is the right word I LOVE her. She is in the dark about so much. She has her own secrets too though. Violet moved to town when her mother died because her mom left her the shop in the will, she assumed it would be safe there. The town ends up being full of monsters and monster hunters.

There is no way for Violet to hide who she is even though she does try. I absolutely loved Anna. Her character had me laughing out loud so often my family thought I was losing my mind. Anna is so perfectly, insanely, inappropriate. May 08, Montzalee Wittmann rated it really liked it Shelves: favorite-series-1st-books. Great start, very funny! Gypsy Blood All the Pretty Monsters Book 1 by Kristy Cunning is a funny and clever book with all kinds of creatures living in one area. One gypsy comes to town to take over her mom's business after her mom is murdered.

Many monsters want her dead but no one will tell her why. Lots of action and hilarious fun along the way. She is saddled with a horny ghost too! Pure hilarity! Nov 09, Lacey laceybooklovers rated it really liked it Shelves: made-me-laugh , reverse-harem , adult , paranormal-romance.

We have a gypsy heroine whose family line holds magical powers and our heroine Violet can see ghosts. She grew up isolated with her mom and has no idea that monsters besides herself exist. This book was a bit creepy which put me to the edge, really suspenseful and i couldnt put it down for a minute. The ending I had not seen it coming, it was so unexpected and i cant wait to read the second book. It was a bit slow and i was up for it, there isnt much more romance in the first book but it was still interesting and hooked me till the end. We see how Violet tries to discover about her new town and who killed her mother, meanwhile the guys are obsessed with the new gypsy who has very little knowledge about their world and the guys.

They are attracted to her but their relationship built really slow, i really liked it that it wasnt insta love and the characters got to know each other first and trust one another. The guys cant stand each other but they wont ever kill one or the other. It was so funny to see them interact cuz they hated each other so much especially Vance and Damien, they cant even be in the same room without fighting but they had to talk cuz of Violet.

Overall i loved the whole story, the entire plot was intresting and the characters were so amazing. I never read something which is so funny simultaneously suspenseful and creepy. I felt all kind of emotions and i hope the second book is like that too. This was so good but I feel like I have so many freaking questions! Mostly because of that god damn ending!!!

Gypsy's Blood will definitely make you swoon, laugh, and get mad occasionally? It will definitely depend on the reader. Now I loved Anna the ghost and Violet. Their friendship just gave me joy and I loved them so much. Anna was that one friend that just made everything funny. She was hilarious from start to finish and I can't wait to see what the hell I'm going to get in the next one.

T This was so good but I feel like I have so many freaking questions! Then there's Violet.. I have no idea who her actual mom is.. I have so many questions when it comes to her. Besides all of that, there's Damien, Emit, Vance, and Arion. I loved the first three because they seemed like such heart throbs. We don't really get to meet Arion until the end.. It was a little twist that blew my mind. Overall, I loved this book.

The twists, turns, and sexual tension were everything. I want so much more in the next book and I can't wait till I jump into it. Mar 06, Deborah rated it really liked it.

On the whole I really enjoyed this. I liked the guys, their relationship and the way they interact. Anna was the star of the show, she stole the book and made me laugh. Well her and the humour. Violet was naive, boarding on completely unbelievably clueless. Yes it felt overlong in places and I just wanted it to get moving and find out what was going on.

So I had some pretty big expectations, but I'm happy to say. Its worth all the hype. I wont even be able to review this fully because I am itching to start into the next. Violet really was the Robin to her Batman The lines she came out with were just, classic.

Too many to highlight. Every time she appeared I wanted to highlight the whole thing. If I lick it first, that makes it mine! The monsters are just the icing on the cake. Such a great harem. I love it when its a mix of paranormals. So slow burn but it's going to be hella satisfying!

Arion is the psychopath. Emit is the broken, savage beast. Vance is the one who has his knickers jammed up his asshole and is supposed to keep the rest of us in line. I live in Ireland right. So my view of gypsy's are not in line with the gypsy's we have here in this book. I need to re-align my mental picture from this to more They seem to be a race of supernaturals in their own right but with some of the foresight and potion making we might associate with a gypsy fortune teller.

Violet is a powerful one and holds some secrets herself. I cant go on anymore, suffice to say this is making my top 10 RH. Maybe it took a nose dive because Kristy was working on this little gem instead View all 7 comments. Jan 07, Somia rated it liked it Shelves: paranormal-romance.

An enjoyable start to the series, just not one I felt immersed in, and the end of this book left A LOT of questions unanswered. For everything that is revealed more questions emerge. Violet is a Portocale gypsy, who has moved to live in the town where her mother was murdered, but with almost no knowledge of her heritage, and the curse suffered by the powerful monsters of the town, she's in for a bumpy and eye opening ride.

A ride she shares somewhat with her companion a lying, sex hungery ghost. This is labelled as a reverse harem, but I wouldn't call this a reverse harem book, although there are small, fleeting hints of potential romance towards the end with 3 or 4 of the male leads.

Maybe that will be a more potent and explicit component of the next book? Small moments of amusement, but I wanted more depth, heat and intensity. I am surprised I enjoyed this book. I was introduced to the author with the Four Psychos series. I still haven't read the fourth book because Paca got too much for me to handle and I'm not in the mood for her chipper. This book had a character that was like Paca but it was easy enough to ignore her. Violet is a pretty nice heroine but I just don't like the way she's so trusting.

I can understand why, since she had been left in the dark by her mother, still I wish she was a bit discerning. I really I am surprised I enjoyed this book. I really love that we have the guys POV in this, finally a chance to read a RH that gives individual personalities to the guys. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. View 2 comments. So this was great! Loved the different houses.

Loved the gypsy take on things. Loved the seeing ghost part. Totally digging this world-building. It was fun. It was captivating and I loved how it actually has both character development and a plot. I find most RH too focused on the sex. It was just so refreshing. I got a feeling it will be vibrant. They each has an appeal I j So this was great!

Especially with her little partner Anna whom I absolutely adored. We meet the Alphas who contribute in their own way. See how well they all blend together. First book is an intro. So excited to jump into the second right now! While not badly written, and the worldbuilding is interesting enough, the entire book is basically talking.

Not only does everyone sit around and talk the whole book, but it irritates me when the lead doesn't know what's going on, only has it told to her in bits, and doesn't believe the new information for extended periods of time.

I got the men confused on who was who. The ghost was funny, but sometimes even I wanted to salt her when she got on my nerves.

Again not horrible, but not much intere While not badly written, and the worldbuilding is interesting enough, the entire book is basically talking. This is fun! I've had this book on my kindle for ages, I dunno why I haven't read it until now. It has an amazing potential, Anna is so much fun! I can't wait to see what happens next. It's the kind of book that's hard not to enjoy. Yeah, it doesn't have any 'hard' stuff in it, it's more relaxing than complex, but it's the perfect read for a nice weekend. Oh man, I was really looking forward to this one but sadly yet another disappointing reverse harem novel I wish to finally find a good one, where there's actually some action going on and the book is not being a YA rated one. So far the reverse harem books that I've read were beyond slow burn romance and with some I even gave up the wait for something to happen.

With that being said, if the plot and the characters are awesome, I will read a couple of books in the series even without the hots Oh man, I was really looking forward to this one but sadly yet another disappointing reverse harem novel With that being said, if the plot and the characters are awesome, I will read a couple of books in the series even without the hots going on but if the first book doesn't give me much of a feel then I'm just out.

And the same happened with this story. The book just didn't grab my attention and the characters were only so-so for me. Sadly this one just wasn't my cup of tea. Dec 19, Rhiannon Chillingworth rated it really liked it. I really loved this!!! The author's Four Psychos series is one of my favourite RH series' and this is an absolutely brilliant start to something I think I might end up liking more!

This has, for me, what Four Psychos didn't have, and that's interesting male characters. The Four Horseman became pretty interchangeable for me eventually, which is often a problem in RH, but certainly not here. Vance, Damian, Emmitt and Arion are all very separate and individual and they are, indeed, beautiful mon 4. Vance, Damian, Emmitt and Arion are all very separate and individual and they are, indeed, beautiful monsters.

They're all reasonably bad guys, and they have all obviously done something pretty awful in the past to be in their current predicament, but I love them all and couldn't tell. There's also so much unexplored back story between the four men that I can't wait to find out! Violet is a great character who also has so much about her that we only just scratch the surface of here. She's a monster herself, but neither she nor the reader at this position not really know what that means.

I loved her attitude and her reactions and actions towards what happen to her. She's very likeable and I rooted for her pretty much straight away. Her ghostly side kick, Anna was both absolutely helarious and at times a little annoying, but I thought she was a great addition, too. She reminds me a lot of Paca in her crazier moments. In summary, if you liked Four Psychos then I really think you'll love this. It's different, but has a lot of the same vibe and character dynamics, but improved in my opinion.

Apparently the next one is out in 3 weeks and I cannot wait and while there is a cliffhanger, things get really interesting! Feb 08, Sakina Carter rated it really liked it. I loved this!! I really enjoyed four Psychos by Kristy Cunning so I was looking forward to reading another RH series by her and she did not disappoint.

With Four Psychos I was more into the story but with this I was more into the characters if I am being honest the storyline was bit confusing. I adore all the characters in this book, especially Anna, OMG she is freaking hilarious, I really hope that Violet figures out a way to save her because she is adorable.

This was another great RH read, I wo I loved this!! Dec 17, Talltree rated it it was amazing Shelves: b-rh. Feb 01, Anne S. Okay, I loved this so much.

I don't typically like to wait on sexy times in my romance books and because this isn't YA, because our MC is 25, it had the same slow burn. But I loved her other series under this pen name, Four Psychos, and it pretty much did the same so I wasn't surprised. The guys aren't perfect and have some pretty annoying flaws, but that just makes me like them more. I love when an author takes a risk creating MCs who aren't Als Okay, I loved this so much.

Also I should note how funny this book is. Her female MCs lean toward this snarky, semi goofy personality and I have to admit it's my favorite. I started and finished book one yesterday and I plan on devouring book two today! Some were obviously purposeful and it sounded like an explanation might wait for book 2 or book 3. But others I was like?? For instance one MC said he couldnt believe he'd told her what he "was". The explanation was weird and made no sense.

There are a few instances like this so my review remains until I see if I can find answers later on. May 24, Princess J. Antoinette rated it really liked it Shelves: immediate-reads , polyamerous-romance , reverse-harem.

Okay, I'm diggin' this series so far. Not bad, not bad at all Kristy. I just hope this author can keep up the momentum she has started with the heroine and the so-called heroes of this book to flow over to the other books of this series. I also like how she's not giving her readers too much of the mundane things of life and is getting to the point of this storyline at a steady pace.

Yes sometimes the first book of a series moves a little slow because of the characters and relationships build u Okay, I'm diggin' this series so far. Yes sometimes the first book of a series moves a little slow because of the characters and relationships build ups but I didn't feel the lag of it in this book.

The viewer almost feels as if they're being shaken to death by a dog. The scene is characteristic of Leo Maguire's powerful observational documentary, both in the artful way it is filmed maybe a teeny bit too artful, I thought, at times: I could have done with less lingering on poppy fields etc and the whole thing fitting into an hour and the cruelty and violence of the subject matter.

There are other violent scenes involving animals. Like hare coursing, and a horrible cockfight in which one bird is on the point of collapse as the other pecks away at its head and one of the men watching shouts: "Kill him then, you fucking useless cunt. Oh, he's gone, finish him son, finish him.

But most of the violence is between men. And between boys. Charlie is Charlie's older brother Francie, seven, is already an established fighter.

If dad Hughie ever saw Francie not standing up for himself, running away, or crying, then he'd give him — his own son — a good slapping, for letting the name down. Names mean a lot around here, especially if it's Doherty. Or Butcher. Fred Butcher seems unsure about whether he wants his sons to be fighters or not.

But then the next he says he's not going to encourage it. I'm not sure they've got much choice really. It's going to be ingrained. Later we see Fred, covered in blood, having been beaten, and kicked, and carved up with a machete, very nearly killed.

Now he's looking for revenge. We also witness a terrifying display of fight power from Hughie, who destroys a man much bigger than himself. And — most disturbing of all for me because they're children — we see little Francie sparring with another boy, for ages and ages, getting floored, standing up again, finally knocking the other kid down, and being hugged and kissed and congratulated by his family. That was about the flouncing and frills; this is about the fighting and the fists.
